I AM
This writing is a contemplative journey into the understanding of self-awareness and existential inquiry. Through poetic prose and philosophical reflection, it explores the interconnectedness of the self with the universe, drawing from ancient wisdom and timeless truths.
I AM the kindness that is given
I AM the kindness that is felt
I AM the wind that is blowing
I AM the breeze that is felt
Sitting under the sun every morning I often wondered why the warmth of the sun always feels like home, something innately intimate about this simple feeling can be easily explained by the very understanding that it is because it is simply I, myself.
Anaxagoras, that pioneering philosopher of antiquity, spoke of a Universal Mind, wherein the essence of all things intertwines seamlessly. His words echo through time, reminding us that within each particle resides a universe, and within every soul, the cosmos unfolds, where every fragment contains the essence of all. "Everything has a seed of everything. How can hair come from no hair, and flesh from no flesh" he professed, a sentiment echoed through the annals of time, reminding us that within each atom lies the potential for infinite creation.
Centuries have passed, yet the ancient adage inscribed upon the Oracle of Delphi's gates still resonates: "Know Thyself." For how can one hope to grasp the mysteries of the universe without first delving into the depths of their own being?
Jalaluddin Rumi, with poetic grace, articulated this truth: "I searched for God and found only myself. I searched for myself and found only God."
So….Who AM I? Where do I come from? How did I get here? And where do I go after?
Amidst these timeless inquiries, the elusive nature of the self eludes definition. Are we merely the sum of our labels – name, age, relations, culture, career? Or do we transcend such finite classifications, reaching towards the ineffable essence of existence itself?
In the pursuit of these profound questions, we find no external arbiter of truth, no authoritative voice to dispel our doubts. Instead, we are left to navigate the labyrinth of self-discovery alone, guided only by the flickering light of our own consciousness.
I AM never here, never there
I AM everywhere
In the cosmos, in the ocean, in the earth, in the air, the fire, the great explosion, the great calm, the great invasion, the nothingness, the nobody, the never ending, the eternity
I AM everywhere
In every fable of the mind
