Refuge
A beautiful concept of finding refuge within oneself, transcending the need for external escapes. Through art and philosophical insights, the narrative encourages readers to embrace their inner world, recognize the power of their imagination, and discover the tranquility that comes from truly understanding one's true nature.

I no longer need a sacred space to sit and meditate. I can meditate anywhere, at any moment, because I am aware of my own residence.
I AM my residence. I AM my refuge.
I no longer desire a vacation in tropical places or a walk on the streets of Paris to admire art. I now have it all within me, accessible whenever I want at no cost. Some may call it a great imagination, ignoring the core understanding that everything is an imagination of the child within each of us. This inner child creates masterpieces after masterpieces of illusory experiences called individualism.
One can choose to be the masterpiece of their own imagination or live within the creation of another. In living another’s creation, one misses out on their own, leaving the other bearing no cost of the crisis caused in this borrowed living.
In seeking to understand your true nature, you realize that you are always watching yourself. Dividing the self into millions of fractals to comprehend what you truly are. In unawareness, no answers will ever be established, only more divisions. Someday looking closely enough at an atom, you will discover yourself looking back at you.
I now sit in my true nature, which is peace—indifferent to any noise, undisturbed by any movement. It is incredible to experience life molding itself around me, and not me the other way.
In stillness, I have silenced my chaos In movement, I unleash those demons In stillness, I understand the stories In movement, I lose those meanings
A Child’s Imagination by Tasmiah Chowdhury
Days after I wrote this piece, in an uncanny way this song found its way to me of Gene Wilder. It had such deep resemblance to my own experience I decided to take an excerpt and staple in this letter as a memory borrowed.
“Come with me and you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin with a spin
Travelling in the world of my creation
What we'll see will defy explanation
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world?
There's nothing to it”
